Loet Vanderveen
Art critics have praised Loet Vandarveen for capturing the unbridled power and grace of wild animals in his unique, stylized sculptures. Using the tedious but highly effective lost wax method, Vandarveen lets you enjoy the company of beautiful wildlife from the wilderness of Africa in the comfort of your home. Each year, Vanderveen creates up to eight animal designs in limited editions, cast and patinated bronze, silver and gold, enhanced with subtle patina of ebony, browns, burgundy, reds, jade green and silver greys. Vanderveen’s creative odyssey began as a fashion designer working in Zurich, London and New York. He studied ceramics and glaze chemistry under the renowned Master Fong Chow, curator of the Far Eastern Department of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
